Washington, D.C. sues Facebook Over Cambridge Analytica’ and according to NYT the social blue gave Netflix and Spotify the ability to read users’ private messages

The attorney general for Washington, D.C. said on Wednesday the U.S.’s capital city had sued Facebook over the scandal thatbroke earlier this year, involving Cambridge Analytica’s use of data from the blue social-media giant. According to NYT, in fact, Zuckerberg’s founded internet giant, let big tech peers introduce themselves in users’ private personal data. NYT cites an investigation by Gabriel J.X. Dance, Michael LaForgia and Nicholas Confessore based on 270 pages of Facebook’s internal documents and interviews with more than 60 people.

According to the investigation’s results Facebookallowed Microsoft’s Bing search engine to see the names of virtually all Facebook users’ friends without consent and gave Netflix and Spotify the ability to read Facebook users’ private messages“.
