Movement for safe roads in Dhaka: twenty five students get bail

Twenty-five university students have been granted bail in three cases accused to vandalize and attack the police during violent demonstrations for safe roads after a bus crashed and killed two young students the last week.

According to Dahka Tribune Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Saifuzzaman Hiru, Dhaka metropolitan magistrates AKM Moinuddin Siddique, and Sharafuzzaman Ansari passed the orders on Sunday afternoon: Six students were given bail in the case filed with the Bhatara police station, ten in the Badda police station case, while nine others were given bail in a case filed with the Dhanmondi police station.

Students of several private universities clashed with police while demonstrating against attacks on students during their movement for safe roads in Bangladesh.
